December 1, 2020

During a press conference, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said that the Alliance will increase its presence in the Black Sea region, as the Russian Federation continues to increase its military presence in the occupied Crimea.

“We see that Russia is increasing its military presence in Crimea, so we must increase our presence in the Black Sea region and discuss this issue with our partners – Ukraine and Georgia – what we will do on Wednesday with their ministers”,- he said.

The Alliance Secretary General noted that the foreign ministers of Ukraine and Georgia will take part in a video conference of NATO foreign ministers on December 2. In addition, this issue is being discussed with three countries of the Alliance – Turkey, Bulgaria and Romania.
