Washington will not forget about the annexation of Crimea – Nuland

November 30, 2020

US Assistant Secretary of State in 2013-2017, Victoria Nuland, in an interview with the Russian Rain TV channel, said that Washington would not be able to forget about the annexation of Crimea, since then the norms of international law were violated.

A journalist from the Rain TV channel raised the question: “Is it possible that Washington will forget about the annexation of Crimea?”, which was firmly refused.

“Of course, it is impossible for Washington to forget about 2013, 2014, 2015 and the current situation in Ukraine, the Donbas and Crimea. It is simply impossible. Then the norms of international law were violated. The question is this. How you know, I have been with Secretary of State Kerry and President Obama in negotiations on the de-escalation of the conflict in Ukraine and the withdrawal of Russian troops. The question is whether Moscow wants to seriously return to these discussions. I think this will be met with approval, but it still needs to be verified”,- explained Nuland.
