Former Minister of Defense of Ukraine Andrii Zahorodniuk said that Russia is using the occupied Crimea as a platform for expansion in the Atlantic and the Middle East. That is why they are increasing the fleet and building up their armed forces inside the peninsula. This was reported by the Crimea.Realities media agency.
Zahorodniuk believes that Russia is trying to dominate the region.
“We clearly see the situation in Belarus, the situation in Georgia, we see the situation in the Black Sea, where Russia uses Crimea as a platform for expansion in the the Atlantic and the Middle East – and is still quite successful. They are increasing the fleet and building up armed forces inside Crimea”,- he said.
