The Russian Federation announced that it allocated more than 870 million rubles for the water supply of Crimea

The Ministry of Economic Development of Russia announced that it had allocated more than 870 million rubles to provide water to the residents of the occupied Crimea and Sevastopol. The department claims that by the end of this year the peninsula will be additionally provided with about 22,500 cubic meters of water per day.

“Understanding the complexity of the problems with water supply to the inhabitants of the Crimean Peninsula due to unfavorable meteorological conditions and a decrease in water reserves in local reservoirs, we have concluded agreements with the subjects of the regions ahead of schedule to ensure uninterrupted water supply to the residents of Crimea”,- the ministry said in a statement.

It is noted that by the end of this year, Crimea will be additionally provided with about 22,500 cubic meters of water per day, Sevastopol – with at least 18,500 cubic meters of water per day.
