October 23, 2020

On Tuesday, November 10, a Russian court will consider an appeal against the decision to extend the measure of restraint to political prisoner Ivan Yatskin, who is accused of alleged high treason in the form of espionage. Lawyer Nikolai Polozov reported this via his Facebook page.

“The First Court of Appeal of General Jurisdiction has set the date and time for consideration of the defense's appeal against the ruling of the Moscow City Court against the Ukrainian political prisoner Ivan Yatskin to extend his term of detention. The court session of the appeal will be held on November 10 at 11:00, room 211”,- the message said.

We remind that at the beginning of December 2019, Russian security forces in the occupied Crimea detained Ivan Yatskin, a resident of Simferopol, on charges of alleged high treason. Subsequently, the man was transferred to Moscow. He was arrested until March 16, 2020. Ivan Yatskin's lawyer, Nikolai Polozov, signed a non-disclosure agreement in the so-called case.
