The situation with the water supply of Crimea is completely ignored – Slutsky

October 21, 2020

Leonid Slutsky, chairman of the Russian State Duma’s international affairs committee, said that the Council of Europe pays too much attention to the topic of the annexation of Crimea, rather than the shortage of water on the peninsula. This was reported by the Russian media agency TASS.

“I think that the Council of Europe at the level of its executive power, the committee of ministers, at the level of the secretary general, upon returning from Moscow, will attend to this most important and really burning problem that must be addressed immediately. The Council of Europe must speak out on this very, very sensitive situation”,- he said.

Slutsky said that the topic of the annexation of Crimea is paid more attention than the shortage of water on the peninsula: “on the Strasbourg side, the situation with water supply is completely ignored.”
