On Tuesday, October 20, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, during his speech in the Verkhovna Rada, said that peace in the Donbas and the de-occupation of Crimea are his priorities. And while Ukrainians and Crimean Tatars are regularly persecuted on the peninsula, the world should not forget about Crimea.
“We do not forget that our citizens live in Crimea and the occupied territory of the Donbas, and we must take care of them. Take care and fight for them”,- he said.
Zelensky stressed that peace in the Donbas and the de-occupation of Crimea are his priorities. The President noted that as long as Crimea remains occupied, and Ukrainians and Crimean Tatars are regularly persecuted there, the world should not forget about Crimea.
“Those who surrendered Crimea without a fight should be held accountable. I want everyone to understand: the purpose is not revenge, the purpose is justice. Society needs answers”,- he explained.
