The Russian Federation is ready to allocate 50 billion rubles for the so-called plan for a reliable water supply to Crimea

Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, during a meeting with deputy prime ministers, said that Russia had prepared a “reliable water supply plan for Crimea, for the implementation of which about 50 billion rubles would be allocated. This was reported by the Russian media agency TASS.

“In total, about 50 billion rubles will be allocated for the implementation of the plan, most of it from the federal budget. This will provide an additional supply of water in the amount of at least 310 thousand cubic meters per day, which will fully provide high-quality water supply to the peninsula and its inhabitants”,- he said.

Also, 8.2 billion rubles will be allocated for desalination of seawater: in 2021, about 3.2 billion rubles awill be provided, in 2022 – 5 billion.
