Members of the European Parliament wrote letters of solidarity to four political prisoners Ievhen Karakashev, Serhii Filatov, Osman Arifmemetov and Remzi Bekirov. This was reported by the representative of the Czech Pirate Party Markéta Gregorová via her Facebook page.
“Now the world is solving other problems, but we must not forget that Russia still occupies Crimea and keeps inconvenient opponents in prisons. Together with other MEPs, we decided to sign a letter of solidarity aimed at their moral support”,- the message said.
Gregorová called on the international community to write letters to the Crimeans who are being held in Russian prisons and the Belarusian oppositionists who are in detention.
