Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu met with the First Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Emine Dzheppar, during which he stated that he is a staunch defender of the Crimean case and will always side with the Crimean Tatars. This was reported by the press service of the Turkish department.
It is noted that the interlocutors discussed relations between the countries and regional issues. Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu thanked Ukraine for supporting the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan and reiterated his position on non-recognition of the occupation of Crimea.
“Turkey is a strategic partner that supports us with concrete actions, never recognizes the occupation of Crimea and is ready to stand next to Ukraine and our initiatives”,- Dzheppar wrote via Twitter.
