The so-called Head of the Government of the occupied Crimea, Iurii Hotsaniuk, said on the air of the Millet TV channel that there will be enough water in Simferopol for no more than 3 months if it is supplied on schedule. But taking into account the resources from underground sources, water will be enough until March 2021.
“Today the situation is such that there is really a small volume of water in these reservoirs. If we talk about numbers, then the design capacity is 10-12%. If we talk in millions of cubic meters, then this is about 7.5 million cubic meters. Enough? As a backup – as long as we have enough of it. For 2-3 months there is enough water to supply it on schedule”,- he said.
Hotsaniuk stressed that, taking into account the resources from underground sources, there will be enough water until March 2021. In addition, the politician spoke about the installation of a desalination plant in Crimea. He stated that such a facility would appear on the peninsula within 2-2.5 years.
