On Tuesday, October 6, at a press conference following the 22nd Ukraine-EU summit, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that the EU had expressed its readiness to join the Ukrainian initiative to create the Crimean Platform. This was reported by the press service of the President’s Office.

“The support of the European Union for the Minsk agreements and the non-recognition of the annexation of Crimea and Sevastopol by Russia remain adamant on our part. Sanctions in support of this policy were continued on October 1. We also have specific personal sanctions against those who built the Kerch bridge. Steps of Volodymir Zelensky directed to overcome this conflict are very important. We call on Russia to mutually take such steps to find a peaceful settlement that would respect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine. We call on Russia to fulfill its obligations”,- said Charles Michel, President of the European Council.
The High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell pledged his full support for the sovereignty, territorial integrity and independence of Ukraine.
