On Sunday, October 4, while crossing the administrative border with the occupied Crimea at the Russian checkpoint Armyansk, the FSB officers detained the Crimean Tatar Akhmed Veliiev for more than four hours, after which he was allowed to pass. This was reported by the Crimean Solidarity public association.
At about 15:00, 22-year-old Crimean Tatar Akhmed Veliiev told his family that he was entering the Russian checkpoint Armyansk, after which communication with him was lost. Nothing was known about the young man for more than four hours.
“19:50 Akhmed Veliiev left the Russian checkpoint Armyansk, he said that all this time he was held by Russian border guards and is now heading to the checkpoint Kalanchak”,- activists said.
