First Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Emine Dzheppar held an online meeting with the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Michelle Bachelet, during which the interlocutors discussed the real situation around the supply of water to the temporarily occupied Crimea. The press service of the department reported about this.

“Emine Dzheppar also acquainted Michelle Bachelet with the real situation around the supply of water to the temporarily occupied Crimea, emphasizing the inconsistency of Russian fakes on the so-called humanitarian catastrophe in Crimea. It was noted that Russia does not care about the permanent population of the peninsula, but about the implementation of its neo-colonial policy, within the framework of which the Russian Federation resettled to the Crimean Peninsula, in violation of international humanitarian law, according to various experts, up to eight hundred thousand of its own citizens, as well as to meet its military needs in the context of further militarization of Crimea”,- the message said.

Also, the interlocutors paid attention to the Ukrainian citizens illegally imprisoned by Russia and the ways to ease their situation and release.
