September 24, 2020

Former special representative of the US State Department for Ukraine Kurt Volker said that sanctions against Russia will not disappear until the Russian Federation stops interfering with peace in Ukraine and leaves Crimea. This is reported by the Ukrainian service of the Voice of America.

Volker said the US should appoint a special envoy for Ukraine to deal with negotiations with Russia, coordinate work with Germany and France, support Washington's policies, work with NATO and the EU, Canada and the UK.

In addition, the person who takes this position will ensure the continuation of the sanctions regime against Russia until the de-occupation of Crimea.
