President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, during his speech at the general debate of the 75th session of the UN General Assembly, called on the entire international community to participate in the creation of the international Crimean platform in order to protect the rights of all Crimeans and return of the peninsula. This was reported by the press service of the President’s Office.
“In addition, I would like to take this opportunity to invite our friends to participate in the creation of an international Crimean platform with the aim of joint action to protect the rights of Crimeans and de-occupy the peninsula. I also call on to support the updated resolution “The situation with human rights in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol, Ukraine”, which will be submitted to the General Assembly before the end of this year”,- said in the message.
The President stressed that the issue of Crimea and Donbas should not become familiar elements of the international landscape, where only reports, thematic meetings and protocol statements for the anniversary of the occupation will be considered a sufficient form of international reaction.
“On the contrary, while the wound in the center of Europe is bleeding, the whole world will feel the pain. And the only recipe for effective treatment is only the de-occupation of Crimea and the Donbas”,- he added.
