Tatiana Bobra, head of the department of geoecology at the Tauric Academy of the Crimean Federal University, said that artificially causing precipitation in the occupied Crimea would not have a great effect, since this method is used when precipitation is needed in a certain season. This was reported by the press service of the CFU.
“As a rule, this method is used when it is necessary to receive precipitation in a certain season and period of time. In world practice, there are both positive and negative examples of the application of this method. However, this does not mean that this method should be rejected as such. It probably can be applied, but as an additional one and in combination with other methods and approaches in solving the water problem in the region”,- she said.
It is noted that if we are talking about a significant replenishment of the reserves of surface water bodies, reservoirs of the Crimea, then this method is unlikely to have a great effect.
