The United States condemns and does not recognize the so-called elections held in Crimea and Sevastopol on 13 September. The US Embassy in Kyiv reported this via its Facebook page.
“Once again, Russia violated the sovereignty of Ukraine on the territory that Russia seized by force and tried to annex it”,- the ministry said in a statement.
The embassy also noted that the sanctions will continue until Russia returns control of Crimea to Ukraine and leaves the Donbas.
