The lawyer of the defendant in the so-called second Simferopol Hizb ut-Tahrir case Ruslan Suleymanov, Lilia Hemedzhi, filed a complaint to the so-called Kyiv District Court of the occupied Simferopol because of the denial to visit the funeral of his son. This was reported by the Crimean Solidarity public association.
“I tried to get Suleymanov to take part in the funeral procession, but we were refused. I believe that these actions of the investigator are illegal, they contradict Article 8 of the European Convention on Human Rights. In farewell to close relatives, no alternative actions were proposed by the investigator. Thus, we filed a lawsuit in order to appeal these actions”,- said the lawyer.
We remind that on July 24, 2020, Musa Suleymanov, a three-year-old Crimean Tatar, disappeared in the village of Strohonivka, Simferopol region of the occupied Crimea. The child played near the house with his older sister and was left unattended for 10-15 minutes, because his mother-in-law called his mother. On July 26, 2020, after a day and a half of active searches, the boy's body was found in a drainpit near the house.
