Occupants will send a complaint to the UN over the water blockade of the peninsula

The “Working Group on International Legal Issues under the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Crimea under the President of the Russian Federation” will send a complaint to the UN over the blocking of the North Crimean Canal by Ukraine and the organization of a water blockade of the peninsula. This was reported by the RIA Novosti Crimea media agency.

“We will prepare the relevant materials and send them to the UN Human Rights Committee. I really hope that issues of concern to Crimeans, such as the water blockade, injustice and illegality of sanctions, will be reflected in these special reports. The cannibalistic position of Ukrainian radicals on this issue should be subjected to total obstruction in the international arena, including by Russian delegates”,- said the head of the working group, Aleksandr Molokhov.

Molokhov said that the words of some Ukrainian politicians that the Dnieper water could be supplied to Crimea in the event of a “humanitarian catastrophe” on the peninsula looked more like blackmail.

“With this position, Ukraine looks very pale on the international arena. In fact, with the help of a water blockade, Kyiv is holding the Crimeans as hostages, trying to bargain: “if there is a disaster, then we will supply the water.” This position does not look entirely adequate”,- he added.
