We use various sources of information on the number of patients with coronavirus in Crimea – Stepanov

August 31, 2020

Ukrainian Health Minister Maxim Stepanov said in an interview with the Radio Liberty media agency that the ministry cannot trust the statistics of the occupiers, and therefore uses various sources of information regarding the real number of patients on the peninsula. In addition, there are relevant special services that deliver this or that information.

“If we do not prove this in the certificate, this does not mean that there are no patients there. We objectively cannot trust these statistics, that is, we use various sources of information regarding the real number of patients there. However, we also use this information. We have the relevant special services, which show us this or that information: the number of patients, whether there are outbreaks or there are no outbreaks, what is happening there. Basically, we use, in addition to information sources that are general, the sources of information that our special services provide”,- Stepanov said.

We remind that as of the morning of August 31, 63 new cases of coronavirus were recorded in the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol. In total, since the beginning of the year, 2971 cases of infection are known.
