In the occupied Crimea, in Simferopol, fountains continue to work, despite the shortage of water and its limitations, since “the volume of water consumption of the fountains of Simferopol is so small that it cannot affect the supply of water to the local residents.” It was reported by the Kryminform media agency.
“Water comes here from the reservoir, thanks to the pump it rises into the bowl, then flows back into the reservoir. That is, the fountain is of a circulation type. In general, there should be no difficulties, unless we are completely disconnected from the water. But even if a schedule water supply is introduced, then we will have time to do such procedures as draining the fountain, cleaning the bowl and filling the fountain”,- said the press secretary of the Children's Park cultural institution, which serves the fountains in the Trenev Simferopol park.
It is noted that the water volume of fountains in Trenev Park ranges from 18 to 70 cubic meters. But they are not completely filled, and the maximum filling of the largest fountain is about 50 cubic meters.
Let us remind you that from Monday, August 24, the invaders began the first stage of water supply restrictions in the Simferopol and Bakhchisaray regions. The daily water provision dropped to 140 thousand cubic meters.
