Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said in an interview with the Euronews news channel that no one wants to talk about Crimea within the Normandy format negotiations. Moreover, he stressed that at the moment there is no solid platform to raise this issue.
“When it comes to Crimea, the situation, I think, is even more complicated. To be honest, I thought about it a lot. Within the Normandy format negotiations, no one wants to talk about Crimea, especially Russia. I raised this issue. But always we were talking about the Donbas only. Russia does not want to talk about it, we all understand this,”,- Zelensky said.
The head of state stressed that now there is no serious and effective platform for discussing this issue, except for international negotiations and agreements with foreign partners.
“The former president said that we are moving forward and a lot has been done to return Crimea. Indeed, there are difficulties, there are international negotiations. But I honestly tell you – at the moment there is no solid platform to raise this issue”,- he said.
