A secret witness under the pseudonym “Ismailov” who testified against Ukrainian political prisoners turned out to be a citizen of Latvia Konstantin Tumarevich, who arrived in the occupied Crimea in 2015 and converted (or imitated his conversion) to Islam. Refat Chubarov announced this via his Facebook page, adding that the circumstances and details of the recruitment of Tumarevich by the FSB of the Russian Federation are currently being established.

“We managed to establish that Konstantin TUMAREVICH is a native of Riga, the owner of a passport of a citizen of Latvia (series LV, No. 3072393, issued on February 29, 2008). Having settled in Crimea, in the same 2015, Konstantin TUMAREVICH converted (or imitated his conversion) to Islam, took the Muslim name Abdullah for himself”,- the message said.

Chubarov stressed that the actions of the citizen of the Republic of Latvia are in no way connected with the position of the Latvian state, a loyal and consistent ally of Ukraine and the Crimean Tatar people.

“Of course, all the circumstances known to us in relation to the citizen of Latvia, provocateur Konstantin TUMAREVICH, were disclosed to us by the relevant bodies of Latvia”,- he added.
