The National Union of Journalists of Ukraine demands from the Russian Federation to release 11 Crimean Tatar civilian journalists who are being persecuted because of their professional activities and positions. This was reported by the press service of the NUJU.

NUJU in its statement recalled Server Mustafayev, Timur Ibrahimov, Marlen Asanov, Seyran Saliiev, Remzi Bekirov, Ruslan Suleimanov, Osman Arifmemetov, Rustem Sheikhaliev, Nariman Memediminov, Ernest Ametov and Amet Suleimanov.

“All of these people are civillian journalists and did their job of informing about current events on the Crimean peninsula. We consider the charges against them of terrorism unfounded”,- the document says.
