In the Taihan Lions Park and the Fairy Tale Zoo in Yalta, owned by businessman Oleh Zubkov, a large prosecutor’s check has begun. This is reported by Zubkov himself in his video blog on YouTube.
“A large prosecutor's inspection has begun in the park with the involvement of Rosselkhoznadzor and Rospotrebnadzor”,- he said.
Zubkov stressed that this check, which will last until September 2020, is “death for zoos and circuses in Russia.”
We remind that in the occupied Crimea, Russian law enforcement officers have opened a criminal case against the owner of the Taihan Lion Park and the Fairy Tale Zoo in Yalta, Oleh Zubkov, for failure to comply with the court's decision to ban the Walk to the Lions entertainment programme.
On December 5, 2019, the so-called Bilohirsk District Court, controlled by Russia, suspended the activities of the Taihan Lions Park for a month. On July 10, the Fourth Cassation Court in Krasnodar, Russia overturned the decision.
