On Tuesday, August 11, NATO countries recorded and intercepted a Russian military aircraft over the Black Sea, en route from the occupied Crimea towards Bulgaria. The press service of the united air command of the block reported about this.
“Allied radars detected unknown tracks flying from Crimea from the western Black Sea. As the plane headed for NATO territory, the US Air Operations Center in Torreioni, Spain, alerted and fired Allied fighter planes from Turkey, Romania and Bulgaria to respond to the tracks, which have been identified as a Russian military aircraft”,- the message said.
The measures were reported to have been carried out in a professional manner “to protect the airspace of NATO allies.”
