After the annexation of Crimea, Ukrainian businessman Serhii Kurchenko not only continued his business on the territory of the peninsula, but also began to actively develop it. His activities have already brought millions of rubles to the budget of the invaders, which are then used against Ukraine. This is reported by the candidate of legal sciences Andrii Chvaliuk.
“After the annexation, the businessman began to actively gain a foothold in the occupied peninsula, considering it very promising. In the summer of 2014, while Russia was killing our servicemen and civilians in Donbas, Kurchenko bought the Sovremennik gas station network, and then another 13 gas stations of another Russian company. Moreover, the businessman is trying in every possible way to hide his participation by creating nominee companies”,- the message said.
It is noted that the oligarch, who was accused in Ukraine of tax evasion, is trying not only to take over the fuel business in the occupied peninsula, but also wants to steal the bowels of Ukraine, hiding behind permits from the aggressor state. It is not clear what he hopes for, because he clearly does not assume that such actions will have to be held accountable to the Ukrainian people.
“His vigorous activity in Crimea has already brought millions of rubles to the budget of the invaders, which they will certainly use to finally eradicate everything Ukrainian that is left in these territories and destroy the traditions of the Crimean Tatars. However, Kurchenko must remember that he will bear personal responsibility for this, and Ukrainian the people will not forgive him anything”,- the lawyer added.
