Ukraine pays special attention to protecting the rights of indigenous peoples – MFA

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine said that the state pays special attention to the formation and implementation of the state policy of ethno-national unity and protection of the rights of indigenous peoples. The press service of the department reports.

"In conditions of the ongoing hybrid aggression, Ukraine pays special attention to the formation and implementation of the state policy of ethno-national unity, the protection of the rights of indigenous peoples and the harmonization of interethnic relations,"- the message says.

It is noted that the task of developing and adopting a new edition of the Law of Ukraine "On National Minorities in Ukraine", the development of draft laws "On Indigenous Peoples", "On the Status of the Crimean Tatar People in Ukraine", "On National Territorial Autonomy", as well as adoption of normative legal acts to improve financial support from the state for the cultural development of indigenous peoples, to the creation of which the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is actively involved.
