On Tuesday, July 21, during a briefing in Kyiv, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said that a meeting between Presidents Zelensky and Putin in Crimea is possible only during the ceremony of raising the Ukrainian flag on the peninsula in connection with its de-occupation. However, nothing is known about the readiness of the Russian Federation to hold such a ceremony.
“Unfortunately, I do not know anything about Russia's readiness to hold such a ceremony. Moreover, President Putin went to Crimea with a completely different goal – to lay new ships for the Russian Black Sea Fleet, demonstrating by this further strengthening the military presence (RF) in Crimea and violations obligations of Russia as an occupying state”,- he explained.
Kuleba stressed that neither a meeting in Crimea, nor a meeting at the border can take place, and “I even find it strange that someone starts to disperse such things.”
We remind on July 20, Russian President Vladimir Putin arrived in the occupied Crimea, where he took part in the ceremony of laying down warships for the Navy. The event took place at the Zalyv shipyard in Kerch.
