On Friday, July 17, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted a resolution on the creation of 10 districts in Crimea after its de-occupation. The decision was supported by 238 MPs, 70 voted against.
According to the decree, after the return of Crimea under Kyiv's control, the following disyricts will be created: Bakhchysarai, Bilohirsk, Dzhankoi, Ievpatoriia, Kerch, Kurmans’k, Perekop, Simferopol, Feodosiia and Ialta districts.
Sevastopol will retain a special status – a city of central subordination.
