On Friday, July 17, Russian security officials searched two premises of a Crimean resident in Simeiz, suspected of participating in the Jehovah’s Witnesses religious organization banned in Russia. As a result, the man was detained and a criminal case was instituted against him. It is reported by the Kryminform media agency.

The invaders detained a resident of Crimea born in 1968, but the name and surname of the detainee is not indicated anywhere.

“Russian security forces conducted searches in two premises in Simeiz, in which the detainee was involved. They found and seized books, religious brochures and CDs, which, presumably, contain materials that the Russian Ministry of Justice recognized as extremist”,- the message said.
