Russia has no military plans for Ukraine – Rudenko

July 16, 2020

On Thursday, July 16, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrei Rudenko said in an interview with the Russian news agency TASS that the Russian Federation does not and cannot have any military plans with respect to Ukraine.

“From Ukraine we hear militant rhetoric, which is clearly provoked artificially, about the possible military plans of Russia in relation to Ukraine. I want to assure that there are no such plans”,- Rudenko said.

In addition, Rudenko noted that there are no grounds for changing the Minsk agreements and the cessation of their implementation. He noted that the Minsk agreements themselves are already a compromise between the Donbas and Ukraine.

“The Donbas agrees to actually remain a part of Ukraine, and in exchange, the people of the self-proclaimed republics demand peace and a certain set of powers, which is not so wide. Nevertheless, even such minimal requirements for Ukraine are unacceptable”,- he said.
