On Wednesday, July 8, despite the spread of coronavirus infection, another illegal military exercise took place in the occupied Crimea, in which more than 500 troops of the coastal defense compound of the Black Sea Fleet army and more than 70 pieces of equipment took part. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Russia.
“During the training, the personnel of coastal defense units in an ever-changing environment of maneuver combat will work on the ground in conditions as close as possible to combat, with the fulfillment of tasks of fire, tactical, engineering and special training”,- the statement said.
It is noted that about 500 military personnel of the coastal defense compound of the Black Sea Fleet army and more than 70 pieces of equipment, including T-72B3 tanks, armored personnel carriers BTR-80 and BTR-82A, were involved in the exercise.
We remind that in the occupied Crimea, military exercises, propaganda for military service and conscription into the armed forces of the Russian Federation are regularly held. The Russian military exercises destroy the ecosystem of the peninsula and are a gross violation of international law.
Earlier, in a statement on Crimea, NATO condemned the ongoing large-scale buildup of Russia's military power in Crimea and expressed concern about Russia's efforts and stated plans to further build up military power in the Black Sea region.
