Illegal military exercises continue in the occupied Crimea

June 30, 2020

In the occupied Crimea, despite the spread of coronavirus infection, the Russian military conducted another illegal tactical exercise with missile firing at a sea target. This was reported by the press service of the Black Sea Fleet of Russia.

It is noted that during the exercise, missile launchers made a march from a permanent deployment point to the designated area, deployed the complex and worked out an algorithm of actions to detect sea targets.

In the occupied Crimea, military exercises, propaganda for military service and conscription into the armed forces of the Russian Federation are regularly held. The Russian military exercises destroy the ecosystem of the peninsula and are a gross violation of international law.

Earlier, NATO, in a statement on Crimea, condemned the ongoing large-scale buildup of Russia's military power in Crimea and expressed concern about Russia's efforts and plans to further build up military power in the Black Sea region.
