June 26, 2020

On Friday, June 26, the Kyiv district “court” of Simferopol extended the arrest of a Ukrainian soldier, who disappeared on May 30 at the administrative-territorial line with occupied Crimea. The Ukrainian will remain in jail until September 1, 2020. This was reported by Krym.Realii.

“Today, the FSB senior investigator of the border department issued a petition to extend the preventive measure to Yevhenii Viktorovich Dobrinsky until September 1. The court heard the opinion of the officer, and the prosecutor supported the motion. The defense objected that it was too harsh of a preventive measure and asked for a milder one. However, the court, after deliberation, decided to extend the arrest", said lawyer Islyam Velilyaev.

FSB claims to have detained a Ukrainian soldier, who disappeared on May 30 at the administrative-territorial line with the occupied Crimea. They opened a “criminal case” against him for allegedly “illegally crossing the Russian border”.
