On the eve of the Crimean Tatar Flag Day, on the night of June 25-26, SBU officers detained two members of a neo-Nazi organization in the center of Odessa, who were trying to set the local mosque on fire. One of the detainees arrived in Ukraine after a long stay in the Russian Federation. This was reported by the SBU press service.

"As part of the criminal proceedings, intelligence services operatives documented that two neo-Nazis planned to carry out a terrorist attack to destabilize the socio-political situation in Ukraine and overthrow the constitutional order. SBU investigators reasonably suspect representatives of the Russian security services in coordinating their activity", the statement said.

During the search, law enforcement officers seized arson weapons, mobile terminals and notebooks with evidence of planning a terrorist act. The SBU found that one of the detainees arrived in Ukraine after a long stay in the Russian Federation.
