Ukraine’s mission in the European Union published via the official Facebook page the film of the Crimean Tatar Resource Center “ A Struggle for Survival of the Indigenous People of Crimea”, recalling that the indigenous people of Crimea are under constant threat of political persecution, repression and detention.

“On June 26, Ukraine will celebrate the Day of the Crimean Tatar flag. We invite you to watch a film about the Crimean Tatars – the indigenous people of the Crimean peninsula. While Crimea is still occupied, the Crimean Tatars and all others who oppose the Russian occupation regime are under constant threat of persecution, repressions and detentions for political reasons”, – the Ukrainian Mission to the EU said in a statement.

The staff of the Crimean Tatar Resource Center expresses gratitude to the Ukrainian Mission to the EU for popularizing the film about the history of the Crimean Tatars and their struggle for the right to live freely in their historical homeland.

We remind that the film tells about the history of the indigenous Crimean Tatar people. In particular, about key historical events in the life of the indigenous Crimean Tatar people. Particular emphasis is placed on the current stage of life of the Crimean Tatars – repression and human rights violations in the conditions of the occupation of Crimea by the Russian Federation.

The film’s target audience is diplomats and representatives of international missions, and the goal is to show not just the tragedy of the Crimean Tatar people, but the struggle by non-violent means, which is the principle of the national movement of the Crimean Tatars.
