Political prisoner Enver Seitosmanov temporarily held in Ufa pre-trial detention center

June 25, 2020

The defendant in the so-called Hizb ut-Tahrir case Enver Seitosmanov wrote a letter to his family from the Ufa pre-trial detention center, where he was supposed to stay for 5 days. The current location of the political prisoner is unknown. It was reported by the Crimean Solidarity public association.

The brother of the political prisoner said that at the time of sending letters he was in Ufa, and before that he was being transferred from Rostov-on-Don to Ryazan.

“After five days I’ll leave. I read, write, think, draw at times. I go out for a walk. Once a dove flew to the window, sat for a while, pecked the bread… It was warm. Here they take me out to bathe… I made a few threads for linen. Outside the window I hear the Adhan by the decree of Allah”,- the letter says.

We remind that on May 10, 2018, in the village of Orlyne near Sevastopol, Russian security officials searched the dwelling of two siblings – Ernest Seitosmanov and Enver Seitosmanov. The first was released after interrogation, and Enver was arrested on suspicion of involvement in the Hizb-ut-Tahrir organization, which was banned in Russia. During this period, the right to a fair trial and the healthcare access was repeatedly violated against him.
