On the eve of the Day of the Crimean Tatar flag, we want to demonstrate a video prepared by the team of the Crimean Tatar Resource Center about the journey of the Crimean Tatar flag within the framework of the United by flag – #LIBERATECRIMEA initiative. We remind that during the 9 months of 2018-2019 the Crimean Tatar 3.5×4 meters flag visited 28 countries of the world.
Flash mobs conducted as part of this initiative became very important in the context of joining efforts to de-occupy Crimea, showing solidarity with Crimeans, informing the international community about human rights violations on the peninsula, as well as uniting Ukrainian and Crimean Tatar diasporas, Western citizens in the process of liberation of Ukrainian territories occupied by the Russian Federation.
We express our deep gratitude to activists around the world for the solidarity and support of the Crimean Tatar people.
The video was prepared with the support of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom in Ukraine.
