On Tuesday, June 23, the II Session of the OSCE Supplementary Human Dimension Meeting on the topic of “Access to Information” was held. An online meeting was attended by Borys Babin, an expert of the Crimean Tatar Resource Center, who spoke about the new challenges that the information blockade created for Crimean residents in conditions of COVID-19 pandemic, the outbursts of COVID-19 caused by the call of Crimeans to the armed forces of the aggressor state and scheduled for tomorrow “Victory day parades in Crimea”.

In addition, in his speech, the expert spoke about the silencing by the  occupants the epidemic state in their own military units and in detention facilities on the peninsula. Babin also pointed out to the OSCE  about gross violations by Muradov and Volkonskaya, who, in accordance with their positions and officially receiving money from the Russian authorities, took part in the Human Dimension Implementation Meeting as representatives of non-governmental organizations.

"This not only contradicts with the principle of non-recognition of the attempted annexation of Crimea, but also grossly violates the rules of the OSCE conferences, because Mr. Muradov is a" civil servant "in the aggressor’s power system and does not have the right to speak as the representative of the non-governmental organization in the OSCE,"- Babin emphasized.

“Of course, today, the Russian puppet, with yesterday’s speech, again lied through his teeth and told:“ Who lives well in Russia! ”And Volkonskaya, with the traditional FSB speech about organizations that supposedly work out grants, was actively trying to put into ears (expression of Volkonskaya) a portion of another lie about terrorists and criminals. But, the attempts of pro-occupying forces failed," – Eskender Bariiev, Head of the Crimean Tatar Resource Center, member of Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people, wrote on his Facebook page.

He added that at the end of the session, Andriy Chesnokov, Counsellor to the Permanent Mission of Ukraine to the International Organizations in Vienna, Catalina Bolma-Dupont, Croatia’s representative to the OSCE and Daniel Barbarie, Canada’s representative to the OSCE, made speeches that once again emphasized that they only trust legitimate Crimean organizations know about the political persecution of the Crimean Tatar people and other residents of Crimea.
