Russia called on the UN to pay attention to the so-called “violations by Ukraine of the rights of residents of the Russian Crimea”

The permanent representative of the annexed Crimea to the Russian President and Deputy Prime Minister of Crimea Georgy Muradov, during the 43rd session of the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva, urged the UN to pay attention to the so-called “massive violations by Ukraine of the rights of the inhabitants of the Russian Crimea” and to take “appropriate measures”. This was reported by the press service of the Russian department.

The Russian Federation called on the UN to pay attention to “massive violations by Ukraine of the rights of the inhabitants of the Russian Crimea”: deprivation of fresh water, the closure of all land transport arteries, and the explosion of power lines.

“So, the question is clear why the Crimeans after the nationalist coup in Kyiv asked for a return to Russia. Only Russia could save our people from the extermination that the organizers of the coup called for. Therefore, in Crimea, the demand to return Crimea to Ukraine is perceived only as a call to destroy our people”,- the message says.

Occupants believe that Ukraine deprived Crimeans of the so-called right to use their own language and to learn it in schools, supports extremist organizations, and carries out sabotage. Russia called on the UN to “take measures to investigate the facts.”
