A coronavirus infection was detected in a pre-trial detention center in the city of Rostov-on-Don, where Ukrainian political prisoners are detained, the defendants in the so-called Krasnogvardeyskoye Hizb ut-Tahrir case. It is reported by the Crimean Solidarity public association.

Lawyer Nazim Sheikhmambetov filed a petition for the court to request information on the state of health of political prisoners.
“The conditions of the pre-trial detention center, the impossibility of maintaining social distancing and the measures that could minimize the risk of infection and the spread of coronavirus in the pre-trial detention center are practically nullified. God willing, the outbreak will be localized and no one will be hurt. But, knowing the reality of the pre-trial detention facilities, I can say that the risk of infection is vast”,- said Sheikhmambetov.
