On Wednesday, June 15, political prisoner, one of the first defendants in the so-called Hizb ut-Tahrir case Ruslan Zeytullaev turned 37 years old. He is forced to celebrate his eighth birthday in a row in a Russian colony. A court in the Russian Federation illegally sentenced him to 15 years in a strict regime colony. The staff of the Crimean Tatar Resource Center sincerely congratulates Ruslan Zeytullaev on his birthday. We wish you a speedy release and reunification with your family and loved ones, good health, patience, unbending will and well-being.
We remind you that on January 23, 2015, in the occupied Crimea, Russian security forces arrested Rustem Vaitov, Nuri (Yuri) Primov and Ruslan Zeytullaev. They became the first defendants in the fabricated Hizb ut-Tahrir case. Everyone was charged with article 205.5 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (organization of the activities of a terrorist organization and participation in it). A Russian court sentenced Ruslan Zeitullaev to fifteen years in a strict regime colony.
