The defendants in the so-called second Bakhchisaray Hizb ut-Tahrir case were brought to the Southern District Military Court of the Russian Federation, with a violation of all quarantine compliance rules. Political prisoners were given a disposable mask and 2 pairs of gloves for eight people. This was reported to the Crimean Tatar Resource Center by the spouse of the so-called case defendant Timur Ibrahimov.

“At the court session that took place today, our children were taken to court with a violation of all quarantine compliance rules. The conditions of the pre-trial detention center are such that when they leave it, all the defendants are gathered in one unit. Of course, no one measures their temperature. They were given one disposable mask (replacement was not provided). There were no antiseptics and gloves (they gave out only 2 pairs of gloves for 8 people), and the distance between them was not kept, which all announcements warn, since they were all in the so-called aquarium”,-  the spouse said.

Dilyara noted that two months ago, all the defendants in this case had SARS. The health status of Timur Ibrahimov is satisfactory at the moment.

“Timur does not have one eye (an implant is built-in), and the condition of the second one constantly worsens in the pre-trial detention center. The medical examination of the eye assigned to my spouse was formal. He was taken to the hospital to an ophthalmologist who, for a minute, shone a flashlight in his eye and concluded that there were no problems at all”,- she added.

We remind that on October 11, 2017, in the city of Bakhchisaray, the invaders carried out mass searches in 6 dwellings of Crimean Tatars – Marlen Asanov, Seyran Saliiev, Timur Ibrahimov, Memet Belyalov, Ernest Ametov, Server Zekiryaev. Everyone was detained. They were charged under Article 205.5 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Participation in the activities of an organization that, in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation, is recognized as terrorist.”

On May 21, 2018, Russian security forces raided the dwellings of activists of the Crimean Solidarity public association in the occupied Crimea, as a result of which Server Mustafayev and Eden Smailov were detained. They are also accused of participating in the organization Hizb ut-Tahrir, which is prohibited on the territory of the Russian Federation.

In February 2019, a criminal case was opened against eight individuals involved in the so-called second Bakhchisaray “Hizb ut-Tahrir case” – Marlen Asanov, Seyran Saliiev, Timur Ibrahimov, Memet Belyalov, Ernest Ametov, Server Zekiryaev, Server Mustafayev and Edem Smailov (“violent seizure of power or violent retention of power”).

On March 5, it became known that the two defendants in the so-called second Bakhchisaray “Hizb ut-Tahrir case” – Timur Ibrahimov and Memet Belyalov – had tightened the charge from part 2 of Aricle. 205.5 of the Criminal Code (“participation in the activities of a terrorist organization”) to the first part (“organization of the activities of a terrorist organization”).
