Ukraine extended the termination of work of checkpoints to the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol and departure from it until May 22, 2020 due to the spread of coronavirus infection. This was reported via the governmental portal.

“In the paragraph of the first order of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated March 14, 2020 No. 291 “On the temporary suspension of work of entry points to the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol and exit from it, aimed at preventing the spread of acute respiratory illness COVID-19 in Ukraine caused by the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus” – as amended by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated April 24, 2020 No. 440, the words and numbers “until May 11” shall be replaced by the words “until May 22””,- the document said.
We remind that the State Border Service of Ukraine can allow Ukrainians to enter and leave occupied Crimea during quarantine and temporary restrictions on the operation through the checkpoints in case of humanitarian needs.
