On Monday, May 11, during a meeting of the operational headquarters for countering COVID-19, Aleksandr Smaglin, deputy chief of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in the occupied Crimea, stated that the so-called police conducted a helicopter surveillance flight to identify violators of self-isolation regime. Such monitoring is planned to continue throughout the week.

“Together with the Russian National Guard, we carried out air monitoring by helicopter from the Sudak, Alushta and Yalta regions. This allowed us to confirm a generally satisfactory condition. At the same time, it allowed us to identify places where citizens still found loopholes and spent their leisure time. This allowed us to work them out quickly with our squads”,- Smaglin said, adding that such monitoring is planned to continue throughout the week.
