As a part of the new memorial project, four bells will be installed in four corners of Ukraine as symbols of memory, victory, peace and unity: in the Luhansk region, Transcarpathia, Donetsk and Simferopol. This was stated by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky in a video message on the occasion of Victory over Nazism in World War II Day.
“75 years ago, we defeated Nazism. It took another 46 years to get an independent Ukrainian state. And today we’ve been defending it for the sixth year in a row. These are all pages of our history that unite and make us stronger. Today with faith in our goal I announce the project of the future memorial symbols”,- the report said.

“We believe and will do everything so that the day will definitely come when two more bells will be installed: the Peace Bell in Donetsk and the Unity Bell in Simferopol. And at the time when peace comes in Ukraine and we will return our people and our land, four bells at the same time will inform about this significant event in the history of Ukraine”,- the president emphasized.
