On Tuesday, May 5, a memorandum was signed on the creation of a hub at the Chongar checkpoint for organizing comfortable crossing by citizens of the administrative border with the occupied Crimea. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Reintegration of the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.

It is noted that the memorandum was signed by the Minister for Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine Oleksii Reznikov, the Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Vladyslav Kryklii, the Chairman of the Kherson Regional State Administration Iurii Husiev, the General Director of Ukrainian Railways Ivan Iurik and the Director of Retail Trade of Sokar Energy LLC Ukraine Serhii Kolenchenko.
“The checkpoint should be as comfortable and functional as possible. It should be for people. There is a good will from the regional administration, there is a desire to help from the Sokar company, which is an investor, cooperation and support from Ukrainian Railways, there is a huge stage of work done by the Ministry infrastructure, which is the basis for further work. The modernization of the checkpoint at Chonhar is only the first stage of further work,”,- said Oleksii Reznikov.
Iurii Husiev explained that a hub will be created in the service area of Chonhar checkpoint so that people crossing the border from the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea can rest and take advantage of additional services.
