The Ambassador of Ukraine to Germany Andrii Melnyk noted that EU and US sanctions hit the heart of the Russian economy very painfully, as evidenced by the calls of the Kremlin lobbyist, former German Chancellor Gerhard Schröder to lift sanctions from the Russian Federation because they allegedly do not work. This was reported by the press service of the department.
“The louder Mr. Schröder and other lobbyists of militaristic Moscow at every corner shout that the sanctions imposed against Russia are supposedly “meaningless”, the more obvious it becomes to the German public that the undeniable fact that EU and US sanctions work perfectly and hit very painfully to the very heart of an already weak Russian economy, and hence its political leadership”,- Melnyk said.
He emphasized that even during the lifetime of the 76-year-old Gerhard Schröder, Crimea would certainly return to the bosom of mother Ukraine. It is as obvious as the fact that the sun rises in the East and sets in the West.
